We are HUGE Hairy Maclary fans in this household. However, this book is definitely the favorite out of the five or six that we own. The part that repeats is catchy and always shows the dogs running about chasing things, which my son delights in. The author always has delightful illustrations and catchy, bouncy rhythmic text, but something about this book just is particularly charming and has a great beat to it as you read.The story is that there is an obedeince class in the park, but Hairy breaks free rather than participating and different dogs follow his lead until the whole pack run about the park and end by splashing into the pond.
