This series definitely keeps my attention. As far as erotica goes, it's somewhat tame compared to what I've read thus far, but I'm totally fine with that. As far as the paranormal storyline, I'm VERY happy with it, because it is satisfying me in several ways. I love the intellectual stimulation and the way the author words actions and situations... some are poignant, some are downright hilarious. I love the creativity of the story. I love the little things the author adds to the anatomy/build of the character's race/species. which adds interest and intrigue.But in agreement with another person's review, the many side plots are distracting. I was trying to understand what was going on in those side stories while trying to follow the main plot. I can usually juggle several subjects at a time, but this was a bit difficult for me. Still, now that I've found this author, I'm not willing to stop reading... I enjoy the writing style, which bounces from formal English to absolute gang-banger then to the dialect cops use. Love it, highly recommend!
