Massive shout out to Stephen Mulhern who has worked an absolute miracle in our house!! I have a very reluctant reader in my 9 year old son (hindered by dyslexia struggles) and bought him “yet another book…?” called Max Magic by Stephen Mulhern. It is fantastic, it’s funny, it captured my sons imagination and he absolutely loved it. In fact we both did! He read it out loud to me without even being asked (unheard of!!) The font, the line spacing, the interspersed illustrations…literally everything about it made it a pleasure for him to read. So thank you Stephen!! (Not that you’ll ever see this lol) We can’t wait for the next book.So if you have a reluctant reader at home, don’t give up and give this book a go!!
