I came across this book in a charity shop at an extremely good price so I decided to give it a go. I love to read cook books from cover to cover and I haven't so far tried out any recipe but here are my comments so far, which I will update when I try out some recipes! My first concern is that the book doesn't have many photos and we are now used to always see a photo of each recipe, that made me take out one star right away. For the rest I think that this is a very good book, with recipes for everybody (as long as you like chocolate, of course!). One thing I didn't like, is the fact that they imply that we live our lives nowadays counting calories. Of course this madness is the norm for a lot of people, unfortunately, but there is still a large part of the population who has a healthy relationship with food! There are many recipes from biscuits to chocolate bars, to ice creams and cakes. I think that I will try most of them. At the beginning of the book there is a short story of Chocolate and some techniques. Although there are countless books with chocolate recipes the ones contained in this book are quite different and that is great because we don't to fill our bookshelves with loads of repeated recipes! All in all worth buying! It would have been nice to have some truffle or filled chocolate recipes but ok, all the recipes seem to be so nice that this is not really a problem!
