This book is clearly based on the premise that the reading test for the new curriculum is challenging. While the questions are like the actual SATs, the reading texts are mostly inappropriatly hard. Grouping the question types together also makes little sense as it fails to mirror the SATs. All in all, this is a bad book.One more thing I realised is how bad ly designed the vocabulary questions are. The SATs ask children to give the meaning of a word from a list of words the children are likely to know. What is the point of asking the meaning of a word people don't know from a list people also don't know? This is terrible.
