Children from disfunctional homes have a life of shadows. If they are lucky they have someone brave to keep tabs on them, but mostly I feel they are on their own, wading through the miasma of life. This story is about a miserable childhood with the love of people behind the background looking out for the innocents. It is a dark story with eventual redemption. I highly recommend it.
